Rev. Henry Gerhard Appenzeller (1858-1902) was an American Methodist missionary and the founder of Pai Chai University. To honor the international spirit of education for all, regardless of race or religion, which he embodied, the ASGB was formed. In order to promote affordable higher learning the ASGB offers this scholarship to all admitted students, waiving the full cost of tuition for the first semester. Students who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher (on a scale of 4.5) continue receiving the award after the first semester. The scholarship lasts for a maximum of 4 academic years. |
